Ordóñez Lasso (Gringolandia)

Known affectionately as "Gringolandia" for its large expat population, the Ordóñez Lasso corridor is Cuenca's most internationally-oriented neighborhood. Modern apartment buildings, familiar chain restaurants, and English-friendly services line the main avenue.

This is where you'll find Supermaxi supermarkets with imported goods, international restaurants, coworking spaces, and health clinics with English-speaking staff. The area offers a comfortable transition for newcomers who want modern amenities while still being in Ecuador.

Located west of El Centro, it's well-connected by the Tranvía and major bus routes. Rent tends to be moderate, and furnished apartments are readily available for both short and long-term stays.
